The first national figure skating queue skating Grand Prix ended with 25 teams participating
Beijing, September 21 (Xinhua) according to the China Figure Skating Association, the /2023 national figure skating queue skating Grand Prix ended on the 19th. This is the first time that a national queue skating event has been held in China. 25 teams and 410 athletes have dedicated a wonderful ice feast to the audience, which makes everyone feel the charm of figure skating queue skating.
This national figure skating queue skating Grand Prix has set up two groups: Elite Group and school team group. In the elite group competition, Young Dream Team, Sweet Dream 1 Team and Team Radiance Team won the youth group, youth group and children Group respectively; In the school Team competition, the Ru Meng Hua skating team and the Danjie Tiger Team of the Affiliated High School of the National People’s Congress won the championship of the primary school group and the secondary school group respectively.
As the technical supervision of this competition, Yao Jia, the International Skating Federation’s single and double referee and the national technical supervision, affirmed the progress made by each team. “Through continuous running-in, many teams (in this competition) can reach 4 levels of action, which is the highest level in the sliding level of the queue.” Yao Jia said, “This shows that athletes and coaches in our country have a certain understanding of the queue slip rules and know how to reach a high level and get a high score.”
Wang Yumin, the referee of this competition and the single and double referee of the International Skating Federation, believes that this competition will invest plus-sized in the development of queue skating projects in various provinces, cities and clubs, and form more teams, it also plays an important role in attracting more enthusiasts to participate and improving the popularity of figure skating. “The queue slide project looks very good visually, and the threshold for participation is not very high. This is a very promising project.”
Driven by the Beijing Winter Olympics, many primary and secondary schools have carried out queue skating courses and formed school teams. This queue skating Grand Prix specially set up a school team, aiming to provide a stage for the school team to show their elegant demeanour. (Finished)
