The original text is as follows:
in the 2022 women’s volleyball Asian Cup group match against Iran held on August 25, Beijing time, the first game of Chinese women’s volleyball girls wearing masks has aroused widespread concern and concern in the society, we are deeply grateful to everyone for their concern for the women’s volleyball team, and sincerely apologize for the troubles caused by our insufficient work.
Before the competition, the team learned about the infection of athletes in the participating team, and some of our athletes also had symptoms. In order to prevent the spread risk of the epidemic, the team started from protecting the health of athletes, athletes are required to wear masks when entering the competition venues. Because the organizing committee did not make clear regulations on whether athletes wear masks in the competition, in order to protect ourselves, our athletes wore masks to the competition after the competition began. Due to our lack of experience on the spot, we didn’t remind the athletes to take off their masks in time, so our athletes all wore masks to play in the first game. In the second half of the first game, after realizing that playing with a mask was not good for the health of athletes, the team promptly reminded us that our athletes took off the mask and finished the later game.
In the future, we will conscientiously sum up experience and lessons, coordinate epidemic prevention and control, competition and training, and play every match on the premise of protecting the health of athletes to repay everyone’s concern.
