According to the method for obtaining the qualification of indoor volleyball in the 2024 Paris Olympic Games announced by the International Olympic Committee, except for the host France, the top 24 teams in the world will compete in the Paris Olympic qualifying competition.

When the Chinese men’s volleyball team ended the men’s volleyball world championship, the Chinese team pressed Belgium hard, ranking 25th in the world, and just got the qualification for the Paris Olympic Games. However, as the Belgian men’s volleyball team made up for 2.05 points in the 3-0 victory over the Faroe Islands in the European Championship qualifier on August 21, the points reached 153 points and rose to 21st place.

Belgium’s ranking has surpassed many teams, which has disturbed the world rankings. At present, Qatar ranks 25th with 152 points, replacing the Chinese men’s volleyball team as the team that has won the right to participate in the Paris Olympic qualifying competition.

In this way, whether the Chinese team, currently ranked 26th, can play in the qualifying match becomes pending. Unless the top Russian men’s volleyball team is determined to continue to be banned, or other high-ranking teams announce their retirement, China will be awarded the right to participate in the Olympic qualification.

For the Chinese men’s volleyball team, if you can’t get tickets through the Paris Olympic qualifier, it is not easy to become the highest ranked team in Asia among the teams without the right to participate. At present, the Chinese team is only the fourth in Asia, behind Japan, Iran and Qatar. The Chinese men’s volleyball team had only been promoted to the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games and the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
