Sports events should adhere to the principle of combining government supervision with industry self-discipline, implement hierarchical and classified management, strengthen supervision after events, and optimize sports event services.

The “measures” pointed out that international and national sports events sponsored or undertaken by central and state organs, their institutions and national social organizations, words such as “world”, “International”, “Asia”, “China”, “National”, “country” or words with similar meanings can be used in the name, other sports events shall not use the same or similar names.

The “measures” emphasizes that if athletes use stimulants illegally in sports events, relevant sports associations, athlete management units and sports event organizers will cancel the qualification, cancel the results of the competition or ban the competition.

The sports administrative department shall establish a credit system for sports events together with relevant departments, incorporate the performance of credit commitments into credit records, carry out credit evaluation, and implement credit constraints and joint punishment.
