Zhang Hong, a member of the International Olympic Committee and China’s first gold medal winner of speed skating in the Winter Olympics, attended this seminar on behalf of the Chinese Olympic Committee. In an interview with Xinhua News Agency, Zhang Hong said that in recent years, international sports organizations have emphasized the diversity of sports events, including gender equality, equality of five continents and equality of sports events, these changes have begun to be reflected in the Olympic Games.

“As the representative of the Chinese Olympic Committee in this conference, as a former female professional athlete, I have been engaged in sports for 23 years. Olympic Games and sports have brought me the greatest gains in my life.
